Welcome to the exciting Pet System in RagnaTales! Here, you can hatch and raise loyal companions that assist you in various ways, providing valuable support in your adventures.
The pet will automatically attack its master's current target or any monster attacking its master. This function only works if the pet is Loyal.
Every pet in RagnaTales has a Hunger rate that you must manage carefully. To build a strong bond with your pet, you need to feed it regularly until its intimacy reaches the "Loyal" status. A loyal pet is a useful ally.
Your pet requires High Class Pet Food to stay healthy and loyal. This special pet food can be obtained by exchanging Sacred Tree Fragments at the Mysterious Trader in the Main Hall. The exchange rate is 1 Sacred Tree Fragment for 1 High Class Pet Food. For convenience, you can enable auto-feed through the Pet UI using the Alt + J command, ensuring your pet is always well-fed.
Additionally, you can check your pet's current state using the @petinfo command. Keep an eye on your pet's hunger levelsβif it becomes too hungry and is not fed in time, it will leave you forever.
To hatch a pet egg, you'll need a Pet Incubator, which can be found in various towns across the world of RagnaTales. Once hatched, your pet will begin its journey with you, requiring care and attention to grow strong.
For those seeking rare and powerful pets, the Cash Shop offers Mysterious Pet Egg Scrolls for 25 Cash Points. These scrolls grant a chance to obtain pet eggs of three different ranks: C Rank, B Rank, and A Rank.
If you're looking to upgrade your pet to an even higher rank, you can combine pet eggs using the services of the Pet Breeder in Izlude. Through this process, you can enhance your pet's rank all the way up to S Rank, unlocking access to the most powerful MVP pets available. Take good care of your pets, and they will reward you with loyalty and invaluable assistance on your adventures in RagnaTales!
Rank-Up Combinations
C Rank β B Rank Requires multiple C-rank eggs and has a set success rate. Upon success, there is a small chance to upgrade to B-rank.
B Rank β A Rank Requires fewer B-rank eggs (compared to C-rank), with a higher success rate β but the upgrade chance is smaller.
A Rank β S Rank Requires the fewest A-rank eggs but also has the highest difficulty. Success chance is high, but the final upgrade chance to S-rank is only a few percent.
Cost & Fail Fragments
Each combination attempt has a Zeny fee and may also need special items (e.g., a few crafting materials).
If your combination fails, you still get a βfragmentβ item specific to that rank as a consolation prize.
Batch Process
If you have a large number of C, B, or A-rank eggs, you can do batch upgrades: the Pet Breeder automatically processes as many combinations as your inventory can support. This streamlines the process if youβve collected dozens of eggs.
Even after youβve obtained your S-rank pet egg, you might want a different MVP pet within the S-rank category β for example, to chase a particular MVP skill set. The S-Rank Re-roll system allows you to re-randomize an S-rank egg into a different S-rank pet. Hereβs how it works:
Requirement: You need 2 S-Rank eggs.
Mechanics:
Talk to the Pet Breeder and choose βS Rank Re-roll.β
You will βsellβ (hand over) exactly 2 S-rank eggs to the NPC in exchange for 1 new random S-rank egg.
The system tries to avoid rolling back into the exact same S-rank IDs you used β unless all available S-rank IDs are identical.
Outcome:
You always get 1 new S-rank egg.
Thereβs no success/fail chance β itβs guaranteed that you get an S-rank egg each re-roll.
Cost:
The main βcostβ is your 2 existing S-rank eggs. No additional items are required unless your server has optional requirements (like a Zeny fee).
This is a great way to chase a more desirable MVP pet if youβve already reached S-rank!
Earning Pet Soul Fragments
Whenever you attempt to combine pet eggs and the process fails, you will receive a Pet Soul Fragment corresponding to the rank you were trying to achieve. For example, if you were attempting to upgrade a C Rank egg to a B Rank and the combination fails, you will receive a Pet Soul Fragment (B) as a consolation prize.
These fragments are valuable and can be collected and exchanged for guaranteed rewards. Hereβs how it works:
C Rank to B Rank: Receive a Pet Soul Fragment (B) on failure.
B Rank to A Rank: Receive a Pet Soul Fragment (A) on failure.
A Rank to S Rank: Receive a Pet Soul Fragment (S) on failure.
To make the most out of your failed attempts, collect 25 Pet Soul Fragments of any rank. Once you have gathered enough fragments, you can exchange them at the Mysterious Trader located in the Main Hall.
The Mysterious Trader will exchange your 25 Pet Soul Fragments for a Guaranteed Pet Egg Scroll. This scroll offers you a chance to obtain a pet egg without the risk of failure, ensuring your next pet upgrade is a success.
