The Hunting and Collection Quest System offers players two engaging types of challenges: the Hunting Quest, which focuses on killing monsters, and the Collection Quest, centered around gathering specific items. Both systems come with timed challenges and unique rewards such as experience points and items.
In the Hunting Quest, players are tasked with killing a specified number of monsters within a time limit. The challenge is initiated by interacting with the Hunting Challenge NPC. Here's how to complete it:
Start the Quest: Players can pick a challenge from the available list of monsters to hunt, which includes different monster names, kill targets, and reward details.
Kill the Monsters: Players need to kill the specified number of monsters to meet the challenge requirement.
Check Progress: Players can check their progress using the @hunting
command, which will show how many monsters have been killed, how much time is left, and whether the quest is completed.
Claim Rewards: Once the required number of monsters is killed, players can return to the NPC to claim rewards, which may include items and experience points.
Completion: Upon completion, the challenge may have a cooldown period, or it may be repeatable depending on the challenge's configuration.
If the player fails to complete the challenge within the time limit, the quest is failed, and no rewards are given.
The Collection Quest involves gathering specific items. However, items must be collected by picking them up from monsters, not from trades, purchases, or any other form of transaction. Hereβs how to complete it:
Start the Quest: Players interact with the Collection Challenge NPC to select an item-gathering challenge from a list of available quests.
Item Gathering: Players must collect the required number of specific items by picking them up from defeated monsters. These items must be gathered directly from monster drops during gameplay.
Time Limit: Similar to the hunting quest, the collection quest has a time limit, and players can use the @collection
command to check their progress, including how many items they have collected and how much time remains.
Completion: Once the required number of items has been collected, the player can return to the NPC to claim rewards, such as experience points and items.
Item Pickup Verification: The system verifies that items are collected by the player from monster drops. If items are traded, bought, or obtained through other means, they will not count toward the quest's progress.
Energy Cost: Both the Hunting and Collection quests require energy, which will be deducted when starting a challenge.
Timed Challenges: Both systems impose a time limit for completion. Players must complete their tasks before time runs out.
Rewards: Rewards include items and experience (both base and job experience).
Cooldowns and Repeatability: Some quests may have cooldown periods, while others can be repeated immediately after completion.
This system provides a fun and structured way for players to engage in monster hunting and item collection, adding depth to their gameplay experience.
